What are the benefits of using a professional vs. DIY?
Let a professional do the work instead of saddling yourself with a stressful kit. The main reason to use a professional is the prep work! DIY kits will advertise a clean and dry substrate that will stick well, but not for long. Homeowners usually don’t have the right equipment to grind the floor properly creating an issue with proper bonding and moisture barriers. Also, DIY kits do not include a quality epoxy and are typically not moisture sensitive. To create a long-lasting epoxy floor… let the us handle the hard work!
What is the process?
We grind your concrete or existing surface and lay a moisture barrier to prevent water damage. Unless told otherwise, we patch any holes or cracks to create a seamless, flat floor.
Is there a drying period or down time?
The standard drying time is 24 hours for walking traffic and 48-72 hours for rolling traffic. Urethane topcoats typically go on top of metallic floors and generally take longer to cure.
How long does it take?
Depending on the size and system, we can usually be in and out in under a week.
